Rumenotomy in cow

Activities of the Surgery and Obstetrics Department – ​​College of Veterinary Medicine / University of Fallujah

On Tuesday, December 9th, the Surgery and Obstetrics Department at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Fallujah, received a cow suffering from ingestion of foreign material, necessitating surgical intervention to perform a rumenotomy.

The procedure was performed under the supervision of Dr. Wissam Abdullah and Dr. Omar Tariq, with the participation of fifth-year students, as part of their ongoing clinical training aimed at enhancing students' practical skills and improving their competence in handling field cases.

The operation was successful, and the animal's condition stabilized after receiving the necessary veterinary care.
